Independent Testing Laboratory

In the Spring of 2020 the Massachusetts cannabis industry was still emerging. A foundational element in the legislation stipulates that all product sold to the public must be tested for potency and purity by independent testing laboratories. An evaluation of the market found that there were many issues with the existing laboratories open in the market. Seeing this and having a PhD in Drug Discovery specializing in the metabolism of cannabis interested in addressing the market issues SDS embarked on establishing Assured Testing Laboratories.

It was a long road to craft the organizational design that would satisfy the state regulations, clear all of the local and state hurdles for compliance and licensure, but the team prevailed and in March of 2023 the lab opened for business.

The ATL team centers on integrity in all things: scientific method, honest and open communications, timely results.  They have established a strong customer relationship model that helps to ensure that results are communicated in a way that keeps business moving forward.

Mobile Detection System

Beginning in 2016 SDS engaged in a project to create a unique CBRNE mobile detection system.  Linda has served as product architect planning and building a demonstration unit and as organizational architect creating of a support organization with worldwide capabilities.  The product is a thoroughly integrated set of systems aimed at the detection and deterrence of explosives, drugs, bio threats, and radiological sources.  MDS has a unique onboard system to provide mobile detection, forensic capabilities, correlation with video analytics and reliable avenues for communication of findings in and out of the vehicles.

In year one and two of the program SDS engaged in product conceptualization and supported market qualification and quantification. This resulted in clear supported demand for such a product and market acceptance for a product price.  In year three SDS provided full financial use justification allowing the investor to provided financial support with less risk. The funds were used to acquire materials and resource sufficient to create the product.  From start to finish the product was completed in eight months.  A period of an additional eight months was invested in product testing.  Testing was conducted by standard test methodology sufficient that no significant error remains in the product.

In March of 2020 the COVID pandemic hit and all MDS operations had to be put on hold. Though remote work to improve and enhance the video analytics continued all other progress stopped.

SDS is the owner of the intellectual property developed in the course of creating the Mobile Detection System.  Our partner Allen Global Enterprises is authorized to market and sell units of the demonstration model only. Any derivatives or modifications of the intellectual property are not authorized.
